Makenzie - Veterinary Assistant

Makenzie joined the Animalia team in 2023 as one of our hardworking veterinary assistants.

This Northern Illinois native began volunteering at a humane society at the age of 13 and knew she wanted a career working with animals. Makenzie’s first vet medicine job was in 2020 where she fell in love with the industry and has never looked back! She especially enjoys the Fear Free aspect of Animalia and the extended appointment times that ensure each patient has time to acclimate to their surroundings and our team.

Outside of work, Makenzie enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs, Ella and Enzo, two cats, Tilly and Finn, and their bearded dragon, Bug!
