Originally from Northern Illinois, Dr. Haley Fitzsimmons has become a valued member of the Animalia family since joining our team in 2023. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois and is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to every patient she meets!
Dr. Fitzsimmons has a special interest in feline medicine, geriatric & end-of-life care, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. She has a soft spot for Golden Retrievers, while one of her greatest joys is partnering with pet owners to help them make informed decisions about their pets' health. Dr. Fitzsimmons believes that client education is one of the most important aspects of veterinary medicine and enjoys empowering families with the knowledge they need to help their furry companions live long, healthy, and happy lives.
When she's not caring for patients, Dr. Fitzsimmons enjoys spending time with her husband and their growing family, including their young baby, Freya. Their home is full of four cats—Ryder, Rikku, Bandit, and Mew—and two dogs, Atari and Asher, who keep life fun and busy. In her free time, she loves playing video games, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, and making memories with her family!
